I noticed a post inquiring about letterboxes in Scotland and noticed in the supplied listing a couple planted in the Wicklow mountains of Ireland. Unfortunately, I will not make it to that part of Ireland on my tour this Fall, but I'd love to plant a letterbox in a well-traveled area...perhaps even near a Dublin pub or something of that nature.
I realize I would have to find not only a good location, but someone to grant permission and someone to maintain it as well. I was merely brainstorming...any Irish letterboxers out there or words of wisdom from those of you who have planted during travels?

My sister and Brother in law live in Athy, Ireland, here now until
Oct visiting, they may not mind caring for it. they're actually
letterboxing later this week on the Cape.. i printed up the clues for
them! If they get hooked, I was thinking of asking her to plant one
for me.
